The National Allergy Council has released its Annual Impact Report, showcasing our key program outcomes. We have continued to undertake consultations and implement programs to help improve the lives of the 1 in 3 Australians living with allergic disease.
We work closely with the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA), our partner organisations, to ensure we provide consistent evidence-based resources. We have also collaborated with the National Allergy Centre of Excellence (NACE) to translate research findings into effective programs.
Over the past year, we have released some exciting new novel resources:

The Mystery of School Island curriculum game
This free online game, designed for students in years 6 and 7, raises awareness about food allergies and supports young people living with food allergy. The game is the first of its kind, combining allergy education in an online game format that aligns with the national, New South Wales and Victorian school curriculums.

Nip allergies in the Bub Food Follower App
This free online app provides tips, food ideas and recipes to help introduce the common allergy causing foods. It allows parents to track the common food allergens they offer to their baby as well as ongoing feeding of the food allergen. The app provides parents with current best practice feeding information relevant to their baby’s feeding development.

Key highlights from the past year include:
190.5 million people reached globally through media, social media and online content.
85,182 food service staff trained with life-saving food allergen management training.
13,993 people access the Nip allergies in the Bub website on average each month.
