Food Allergen Management Consensus Statement

The Australia & New Zealand Consensus statement on best practice food allergen management was updated in 2025 in a collaborative process led by the National Allergy Council.

The consensus statement advocates for improved food allergen management by all sectors in the community and industry. Developed in collaboration with and endorsed by 17 other organisations, the Consensus Statement recognises that the safety of people with food allergies is a shared responsibility between consumers, packaged food manufacturers, food service businesses, food retailers, health professionals, and regulatory and enforcement agencies.
