It's Food Allergy Week!

Each year Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia hosts Food Allergy Week to raise awareness about food allergies.

This year’s theme is ‘When eating out: Always ask, Always tell’ which is a reminder to people working in food service to always ask customers about food allergies and also a reminder to people with food allergies to always tell wait staff about their food allergies.

The National Allergy Council is partnering with Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia to spread the message of this year’s Food Allergy Week as it relates to the food service sector. We have updated our Food Allergy Aware Resource Hub and our free All about Allergens online training. The All about Allergens online training was developed to support people working in food service to provide appropriate meals to people with food allergies.
