National Allergy Strategy

National Allergy Strategy

The National Allergy Council remains a partnership between ASCIA and Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia and continues to implement the National Allergy Strategy.

National Allergy Strategy Projects

The Allergy 250K website aims to provide age-appropriate information and resources to assist young people who are living with severe allergies, and to help them to feel more connected with other teens and young adults going through similar experiences.

The National Allergy Strategy is working with the Australian Digital Health Agency to improve the quality of patient allergy information in My Health Record and to make sure that allergy information can be easily found.

Nip allergies in the Bub is a resource for health professionals and caregivers that provides practical, credible information about infant feeding and optimising eczema management for allergy prevention in babies. See the website at www.preventallergies.org.au.

This project aims to provide accessible, standardised education for food service providers across different environments where food is provided (e.g. cafes, restaurants, hospitals, camps, schools and childhood education and care).

This project is developing national Best Practice Guidelines and supporting resources for the prevention and management of anaphylaxis in schools and children’s education and care services.

This project aims to improve access to care for people with an allergy, especially people living in rural and remote Australia.

National Allergy Council News

Every project is a new challenge to positively impact on life for people with allergic diseases.

The Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) and Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA), as the leading medical and patient organisations for allergy in Australia, have developed the first National Allergy Strategy for Australia, in collaboration with other stakeholder organisations.
