Allergen Free or Allergy Aware?
Views and experiences of parents of children attending junior primary school
This study will interview parents of early primary school aged children (Reception to Year 2) in South Australia with food allergies about their attitudes, views, and experience of starting and attending school. We are particularly interested in exploring knowledge and opinions of ‘allergen free’ schools compared with the concept of ‘allergy aware’ schools.
If you agree to be in this study, you will attend a one-on-one online interview (20-30 minutes) with a researcher for which you will be sent a gift voucher. The study findings will be used to inform the revision of the Best Practice Guidelines for anaphylaxis management and prevention in schools.
