Shared Care for Allergy Working Group meeting

Our Shared Care for Allergy Working Group met in person recently to discuss progress and next steps for the activities in the implementation roadmap. Some key areas being addressed by the Shared Care for Allergy project include:

  • undergraduate and postgraduate education and training about allergic diseases,
  • recognition pathways for healthcare professionals who have undertaken additional training,
  • standards of care for the transition of patients with allergic diseases,
  • establishing a virtual allergy advice service that can be accessed by regional and rural doctors, and
  • helping people with allergies and their carers navigate the health system and find appropriately trained healthcare professionals.
