My Health Record ‘how to’ guides for clinical immunology/allergy specialists
Two NEW fact sheets have been developed that support clinical immunology/allergy specialists when using My Health Record. A webinar recording is also available that explains the My Health Record system from an immunology/allergy perspective.
Getting started: My Health Record for private allergy practices provides a step-by-step guide for getting set-up with My Health Record if you have never used it before.
My Health Record can provide you with your patient’s medical history such as prescription and dispense records, pathology and imaging results and hospital discharge summaries that you may find useful in your consultation.
Event Summaries: A guide for clinical immunology/allergy specialists using conformant software explains how you can upload allergy information to a patient’s My Health Record for other healthcare providers to see.
Specialists using software that is compatible with the My Health Record system (e.g. Genie) can upload an event summary to their patient’s My Health Record. This includes information about their test results, confirmed allergic status, management plan, commencement of allergen immunotherapy or other treatments.
Both these fact sheets are available on the from the Australian Digital Health Agency Project | Health Professionals page.
